The Drummerboy Story

When Bruce Klouda started dragging out pots, pans and kitchen utensils at the age of 5 and banging on them little did he or his parents know that it would lead to a 40 plus year career of playing the drums. As with everyone, Bruce’s life took various twists and turns but the constant was his passion for percussion. Having had the fortune early in his drumming career to play full time at the ripe age of 19, he learned that, although exciting, playing drums full time and traveling around the U.S. would be difficult if he ever wanted the groundings of a family and also to pursue his other passions which included art and business.

After three plus years of the traveling musician lifestyle a young lady named Terri entered his life and he knew things were about to change for the good. Soon they were married and Terri encouraged him to go after his dreams but insisted that he never give up his God given talents . He went on to enroll in some college business courses and over the next 36 years they raised a family, started and sold a couple of businesses and were enjoying life together.

It was while Bruce was managing an 80 employee company that he shared with Terri his interest in marketing the drum accessories that he had developed over the years for his own use. Brute Percussion LLC was subsequently created {Brute is Bruce and Terri combined} and development of the products and business plan began. Tragedy struck two years ago when Terri passed away from cancer. In their final few weeks together Bruce and Terri were able to reflect with one another all the blessings God had given them and just like when they first met, Terri insisted Bruce never quit his passions. Brute Percussion LLC under its’ DBA, Drummer Boy Accessories, is dedicated to introducing their unique line of functional and intuitive products to enhance your world of drumming and percussion.  Products like the Stickkit Stick Bag have proven the capability of Bruce's vision for innovative drummer accessories.
